Personal characteristics and use of library facilities: a special reference to Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka.

Abstract

The study explores to identify whether there is any significant difference among personaldemographic variables and the use of library facilities offered by the main library, University of Jaffna,Sri Lanka. General survey guided by well-structured questionnaire has been administered across avaluable sample of 202 students from Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce. Descriptive andinferential statistics were used in the analysis of data using Statistical Package for Social Science(Version 16.0). The results of the study revealed that the use of library facilities do not vary amongpersonal demographic characteristics (p-value > 0.05). According to Duncan multiple range test, all themean scores for subject specialization are differing from one another.
